My mission is to inspire women to unapologetically step into their power, so they can live a deeply fulfilling life rooted in a sense of purpose and inner joy.
But how did it all start?
From a 9-5 to a digital nomad-turned-happiness coach.
Hi there. My name is Marta and I’m the founder of Kvinnominne.
I’ve always believed in living a life less ordinary.
13 years ago, I quit my office job to travel solo to India and South Asia.
I took midnight swims in the Indian Ocean, stayed at an ashram, made connections that forever changed the course of my life, and was even an extra in a Bollywood film!
My travels made me realise more than ever before that there is so much more to life than working for somebody else's dream.
So, instead, I decided to create my own.
I launched my first location-independent business, moved to NYC, then Italy and Bali, and soon after started a blog to show women how to do the same.
For years, I used travel as a self-development tool.
I created A Girl Who Travels to show women how to build a life on their terms through solo travel and location independence. After years of working as a content creator, my passion for travel was replaced with journeys within, as my focus moved toward spirituality and self-development.
This is how Kvinnominne was born!
I wanted to create a movement that helps women tap into their power and embrace a life where daily joy is a natural way of being, paving a path toward greater fulfillment, alignment, and a life of purpose.
The power of female wisdom
There is so much power, creativity, and joy that lies in the female wisdom. For years, we’ve been living in the patriarchal system that glorifies reason while blocking access to our innate power - our intuition and inner knowing.
There is an incredible power that lies within us, and by creating an alignment between our heart’s desires, our soul’s calling, and the conscious mind we get to truly unleash it.
Working with our feminine energy awakens our intuition, helps us reach higher states of consciousness, and creates a deeper connection to our heart space so we can live truthfully to who we are - not who the world told us to be.
About Kvinnominne.
Kvinnominne means Women’s Memories in Swedish. The idea was born under the Midnight Sun as my friends and I hiked through the ancient forests of Northern Sweden.
We picked berries, swam in the arctic lakes, and sat by the fire in the evenings sharing stories as white nights lit up the summer sky.
There was so much power and inspiration in these conversations!
One day, we drove past a clearing in the forest where there stood a large, wooden sign with Kvinnominne written across it. This was so beautifully aligned with our conversations and experiences that I noted it in my journal, and the rest is history.
Why ‘Women’s Memories’?
After years of working in the digital space, I wanted to pour my passion for self-development and female empowerment into a physical product; an offering that would truly allow me to connect with women on a deeper level, creating a similar sense of community, joy, and empowerment to those moments I shared with my friends by the fire.
Kvinnominne, or Women’s Memories in Swedish, reminds us of our true power that we can tap into anytime, by looking within. The ceramics and workshops are a physical manifestation of this, a way of reconnecting to our inner wisdom and strength through daily habits, rituals, and empowering self-talk.
